King David High School’s School Board of Directors is a governing body that works collectively to steward the school’s mission, values, and long-term success in the public interest.
At King David High School, students, faculty and staff, families, donors, and the broader community all contribute to a culture of excellence in Jewish and academic learning, character, and community engagement.
The Board provides strategic direction and fiduciary oversight, ensuring the school remains mission-aligned, financially sustainable, and accountable. In partnership with the Head of School—whom the Board appoints, supports, and evaluates—the Board sets strategic priorities, monitors performance, and safeguards the school’s long-term viability. The Board does not manage day-to-day operations; rather, it governs through clear policies, defined roles, and effective oversight.
Through its committee structure, the Board carries out its work in key areas such as governance, finance, advancement, and risk. Committees collaborate with school leadership to review progress, identify risks, and develop recommendations, while maintaining appropriate independence. Committee chairs facilitate informed discussion, engage board members, and report regularly to the full Board.
The Board meets regularly throughout the year, with additional meetings as needed, to review strategy, monitor outcomes, and make informed decisions based on timely, relevant information.
We are grateful for a dedicated group of volunteer directors who bring diverse expertise, exercise independent judgment, and act in the best interests of the school.
We welcome interest from community members who wish to contribute their skills through committee service. To learn more, please contact the school to connect with the Board Chair.

After graduating from VTT in 1987, her family moved to the United States, where she continued her Jewish education and later received a BA from The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York in Modern Jewish Studies alongside a BA in English from Barnard College of Columbia University. Ronit currently works for Pearson Education as an online writing consultant, working with both writing instructors and post-secondary students globally to improve their writing and teaching skills.
